Vietnam Arrests Dissident for Attempted Subversion - Vo Viet Dzien

Vietnam Arrests Dissident for Attempted Subversion:
ABCNews:
Vietnamese state media say police have arrested a man for allegedly attempting to overthrow the communist government.
The online newspaper VnExpress says Vo Viet Dzien, from the southern province of Kien Giang, was arrested Thursday for "acts aimed at overthrowing the people's administration."
According to the report, Dzien went to Thailand late last month to attend a training course organized by an anti-government group in exile on how to operate a radio transmitter. It says Dzien was planning to disrupt the government's upcoming commemoration for the liberation of Saigon on April 30.
The paper says he also was assigned to gather people to go to Hanoi to attend anti-China protests held to demand the return of disputed islands in the South China Sea.
